NEL Framework in Singapore incorporates current developments, both local and international, in early childhood education policy, practice and research. NEL Framework aims to help preschool educators nurture lifelong learners with the values, dispositions, knowledge and skills that are needed for them to be future-ready and to relate well with the world around them.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the standards in UK that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. It promotes teaching and learning to ensure children’s ‘school readiness’ and gives children the broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for good future progress through school and life.
The Common Core is a set of academic standards in the USA for what every student is expected to learn in each grade level, from kindergarten through high school. They cover math and English language arts (ELA).
The National Curriculum Framework (NCF) for the Foundational Stage is developed based on the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and to enable its implementation.
The Foundational Stage refers to children in the age group of 3 to 8 years, across the entire range of diverse institutions in India. This is the first Stage in the 5+3+3+4 Curricular and Pedagogical restructuring of School Education as envisioned in NEP 2020.
